Do you wonder what the Affordable Healthcare Act, also known as Obamacare will do to your health insurance rates? Recently, United Health Insurance, one of the nations largest health insurance companies came out with a report. They indicated that if every facet of the AHA is put into place by 2014 that individual health insurance rates will soar by 116% and group rates will increase somewhere between 25% - 50%. If this is the case, it seems unlikely anyone will be able to afford health insurance in the private market. No one can say for sure but perhaps this is the plan to drive people into the governemtn plan for a one-payor system of healthcare. I'm not sure why they called it the Affordable Healthcare Act; increasing rates by 116%; there is nothing affordable about it.
